WRITING AND REVISING DOCUMENTS
Writing and revising documents
At Lémania Prague, we work with a team of professional writers, journalists, copywriters and editors who can collaborate with our clients on the drafting and development of advertising and communication documents. Our services are used by the communication staff of bodies and institutions, the marketing departments of small and large companies, and the press offices of events and initiatives.
We produce all sorts of texts, including copy for company brochures, advertisements, websites, online materials, press releases, direct emails and newsletters.
Our goal is to take your ideas and use them to create flowing, effective texts in foreign languages. The end product will be the result of close cooperation with your marketing department or advertising agency.
If you have already drawn up a draft and you would like us to revise it or check the language and contents, you can use our proofreading and revision service.
REVISION
Proofreading
The term proofreading usually refers to the checking and correction of texts that have already been produced in the target language. The goal is to detect any typographical errors, misprints, repetitions, missing parts, syntax errors, spelling mistakes or faults in the layout. We go through this procedure after the translation stage and the main revision phase. It is a key part of the process, especially when the end product is created using DTP software. You can also request a separate proofreading service for texts that you have already drawn up in the target language.
Revision
Revision involves a more in-depth, meticulous checking process. Rather than just the superficial aspects, the main focus is on elements such as terminology and style. A word-for-word comparison with the source text is also used to ensure that there are no missing or misinterpreted sections. The aim is to provide an end product of extremely high quality that stands on its own merits, thus ensuring that the end users do not realize that it is a translation. |
